Prime Bank presents AUST Rover Challenge 2.0 was held on 12th and 13th July 2025 at Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST). This was the second edition of Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology’s national robotics event, and it was even bigger and more exciting than before. More than 150 teams from different universities joined to compete, share ideas, and enjoy the world of robotics.

The event was fully planned and managed by the hardworking members of the AUST Robotics Club. Their effort and teamwork made the whole event smooth and successful. Compared to the first edition, this year had more teams, a new segment, and more excitement. AUST Rover Challenge 2.0 was not just a competition—it was a joyful and inspiring event for everyone who loves robotics and technology.

Segments:

"AUST Rover Challenge 2.0" was an electrifying event featuring 5 thrilling segments, where over 500 passionate participants from all corners of the country came together to showcase their innovation, creativity, and competitive spirit. The segments are Rover Challenge, Project Showcasing, Line Following Robot, Soccer Bot, and a new segment called Robo Olympiad. Among them, the Soccer Bot Competition was the main attraction and drew the biggest crowd. The Robo Olympiad was added for the first time and gave participants a chance to solve problems and complete tasks using their knowledge and skills.

The total prize money was 150,000 BDT, which made everyone even more excited. The Honorable Vice Chancellor of AUST, Prof. Dr. Md. Ashraful Hoque, visited the event as the Chief Guest. His presence made the event more special for everyone.

Rover Challenge

This flagship event challenges teams to build rugged, all-terrain machines capable of tackling complex obstacles and executing smart missions. Open to all Bangladeshi teams, this competition determines the Domestic Title.

Team Size: 6 members (up to 6 additional members can be added for 800 BDT per person).

Registration Fee: 4,500 BDT + 90 BDT (cash-out charge).

Prize Money: Champion 30,000 BDT.

Soccer Bot

Custom-built robots compete in a strategic soccer match, testing teams' ability to outplay and outdrive opponents with skill and strategy.

Team Size: 1 to 4 members (up to 2 additional members can be added for 650 BDT each).

Registration Fee: 2,040 BDT.

Prize Money: Total 35,000 BDT (Champion 15,000 BDT, 1st Runner-up 11,000 BDT, 2nd Runner-up 9,000 BDT).

Line Follower Robot

Design an autonomous robot to navigate complex tracks featuring loops, bridges, walls, and discontinuous paths, showcasing efficient problem-solving skills.

Team Size: 1 to 4 members (up to 2 additional members can be added for 650 BDT each).

Registration Fee: 2,040 BDT.

Prize Money: Total 40,000 BDT (Champion 17,000 BDT, 1st Runner-up 13,000 BDT, 2nd Runner-up 10,000 BDT).

Project Showcasing

Participants present innovative and functional both hardware and software projects, emphasizing features like AI integration, communication capabilities, and real-life problem-solving applications.

Prize Money: For Hardware Project- Total 20,000 BDT (Champion 12,000 BDT & Runner-up 8,000 BDT), For Software Project- Total 17,000 BDT (Champion 10,000 BDT, Runner-up 7,000 BDT)

Team Size: 1 to 4 members (up to 2 additional members can be added for 650 BDT each).

Registration Fee: 2,040 BDT.

Robo Olympiad

A knowledge-based challenge where participants solve concept-driven questions on automation, AI, and engineering fundamentals. This question type is basically an MCQ based.

Awards: Gold, Silver & Bronze Medals for the top 3 performers. Top 15 was inducted into the Robo Olympiad Hall Of Fame (Online).

Prize Money: Total 8,000 BDT (Champion 4,000 BDT, 1st Runner-up 2,500 BDT, 2nd Runner-up 1,500 BDT)
